carbolite type p is a pelletized hard coal-based activated carbon for professional use in freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
Properties and features:
- highly activated for effective ionic binding, chemical absorption & catalysis.
- Very high pore volume and high material surface area (approx. 1000 m²/g) for outstanding results
Binding capacities.
- Selected grain size (1.5-2.5 mm) for good water flow even when used in a closed filter bag.
- Rapid removal of yellow and toxins within 12-24 hours.
- Does not affect the pH value in seawater.
- No redissolution of phosphate.
Recommended Application:
- Before use, wash in hot tap or osmosis water (>60°C) for approx. 1-2 minutes.
- Dosage quantities (dry matter):
- for long-term use (3-4 weeks): regular continuous use 50 g (100 mL) per 100 L
- To remove toxins or medication residues approx. 300 - 500 g per 100 L aquarium volume for 2-3 days
- All material should be replaced after a maximum of 4 weeks of use.
- Use in fluid bed filters is recommended.
