Catappa Bark 20 g, SB
Sea almond tree bark - from nature for nature!
Catappa leaves and bark have long been used in aquariums in Asian countries. The effect of the sea almond tree bark is similar to that of the sea almond tree leaves (Catappa Leaves), only significantly stronger. The humic and tannin substances contained strengthen the mucous membrane of the fish and make it difficult for various pathogens to penetrate this protection. The pieces of bark are also helpful in propagating and rearing your fish. On the one hand, it promotes your fish's willingness to mate. Even blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) are inhibited from multiplying by the substances they contain. It is also worth noting that bacteria that are positive for aquarium keeping are proven not to be harmed. When transporting fish, it is highly recommended to use a small piece of Catappa Bark or ours
Add Catappa Leaves to the transport water. This enormously reduces the animals' susceptibility and stress due to the high germ load. If you want to change the water, you can also prepare your fresh water directly with our bark pieces. This is to reduce stress on your fish. By releasing its humic and tannins, the sea almond tree bark creates a natural environment and increases the vitality and well-being of your aquarium inhabitants. What's nice is that no tree has to suffer or die to obtain the bark.

The old sea almond tree bark can remain in the aquarium, as additional food and hiding place for crabs and shrimps, or can be disposed of.
