Iodine 24, 50 ml
Essential trace element iodine for daily dosage. Necessary for the development and coloring of corals. Indispensable for the molting of crustaceans. Important for many types of algae. Promotes the light adaptation and coloring of soft corals, especially hard corals.
The trace element iodine must be regularly added to the aquarium. It has the property of precipitating very quickly, which is accelerated by adding ozone, filtering over carbon or using a skimmer. In addition, iodine is broken down by the effects of light. An iodine deficiency inhibits the growth of lower animals and corals and leads to color fading. Iodine 24 nano promotes the coloring and development of corals, optimizes the light adaptation to different lighting conditions and helps to neutralize the excess oxygen produced by zooxanthellae. Echinoderms need iodine to build their shell, while crustaceans and shrimp need iodine to harden their chitin shell after molting. For the long-term care of Xenia colonies and many types of algae, for example various Caulerpa, Halimeda and many brown algae, regular addition of iodine 24 nano is essential. In fish, iodine, as a component of the thyroid hormone, prevents goiter formation.
Dosage: With normal stock, 2 drops per 100 liters of aquarium water daily. The dosage can be increased if there is a higher need for iodine due to heavy population and therefore more consumers or due to above-average losses, as listed in the introduction. If corals react with an excessive increase in color, the dosage should be reduced.
