Pellet reactor / fluidized bed filter for various filter media.
The Fauna Marin Multifilter is versatile and can be used in the smallest of spaces with the following filter media:
- Fauna Marin Carb L activated carbon
- Fauna Marin NPO Redupellets
- Fauna Marin phosphate adsorber: Power Phos, Phos 0.04 or Ultra Phos
- Combinations with Carb L activated carbon and phosphate adsorber are also possible
The Fauna Marin Multifilter can be used as a pellet reactor, a fluidized bed filter or a simple filter
Dimensions multifilter 3.0 liters:
- Stand area: 24 x 14 cm
- Height: 50cm
- Capacity: approx. 3.0 liters
- including controllable pump
Operation manual:
- Position the filter in the technical basin (filter sump) and connect the enclosed pump (Sicce 1.0) with the screw connection.
- The water level should not exceed 25-30cm.
- It is important that the multifilter is upright.
- Make sure that the feed pump delivers its full power (see operating instructions included with the pump).
- If possible, install the filter in front of a skimmer to achieve particularly rapid nutrient breakdown.
- Remove the top center screw and installed screen and pour prepared filter material into the filter
- Then reinstall the screen in the reverse order and only tighten the screw slightly.
- Now turn on the pump and make sure that the filter material moves.
- Make sure that the filter never stops and that the pump always ensures sufficient water flow
Weekly tasks :
- Cleaning the upper sieve
- Cleaning the drain openings
- Cleaning the outer side walls of the filter
- 1000 ml Skim Breeze per 500 liters, for 4 - 6 weeks
every 2 weeks:
every 3–4 weeks :
- Remove and clean the lower sieve
- It is very important that the returning water drains down the side walls of the filter.
- Through correct recycling, the water is enriched again with oxygen that has been used up during nutrient breakdown.
- Using the flow control on the suction side of the pump, you can precisely adjust the flow rate and thus ensure quiet operation of the filter.
