The light module
Wherever aquariums and terrariums need waterproof lighting, the RAZOR T-5 light module offers unbeatable flexibility.
Like all Giesemann products, the RAZOR T-5 module is produced exclusively in Germany and undergoes extensive quality controls and electrical tests before delivery.
The electronic ballast, for example, is equipped with warm start technology that protects the lamps and has a temperature-controlled shutdown in the event of overheated or defective T-5 lamps. The built-in electronic HF ballasts also ensure flicker-free operation with immediate start
Waterproof to IP 65
RAZOR is a light module developed for professional or private use. Our RAZOR light module is ideal wherever aquariums and terrariums need to be illuminated with strong splash-proof protection, even under harsh conditions.
The lamp housing consists of a silver-anodized, one-piece aluminum profile. The entire technology, including the electronic ballast, is protected here. The high-quality, anodized surface ensures optimal light reflection and is even resistant to aggressive salt water. All sockets and sealing surfaces are also waterproof and equipped with additional neoprene seals.
Particularly high light output
RAZOR T-5 modules are the most cost-effective way to produce lots of light in a small space. That's why the RAZOR light module is always equipped with advanced and powerful T-5 technology. These T-5 fluorescent lamps are up to 30% more effective than conventional 26 mm tubes.
The special housing construction and the exposed T-5 lamps achieve the optimal operating conditions in terms of durability and luminous efficacy of the T-5 lamps.
Together with the RAZOR light module, special high-gloss reflectors are supplied, which almost double the luminous power of the fluorescent lamps. The beam angle of these reflectors can be adjusted as desired, thus allowing individual illumination of the area.
